The International Cessna 195 Club is one of the earliest type clubs in general aviation, founded in 1969 by California rancher and realtor Dwight Ewing to support owners of the Cessna 190/195 “Businessliner.”

Over the decades, as the fleet aged and factory support diminished, the club evolved into a central hub for technical knowledge, maintenance guidance, and parts‑sourcing specific to the 190/195 series.

Today, the club operates internationally and explicitly promotes the use and enjoyment of the Cessna 195/190 series and other classic Cessna aircraft, bringing together members from the U.S. and around the world.

As one of the first type clubs and now a mature organization, it has accumulated decades of institutional knowledge that individual owners would struggle to replicate on their own.

For current and prospective Cessna 195 owners, one of the primary benefits of joining is access to deep technical support from people who specialize in this type, including “195 professionals” and long‑time owners. The club’s HangarTalk forum hosts thousands of topics and tens of thousands of posts, where members troubleshoot issues like landing gear, tailwheel setups, engine quirks, and STCs, often with hands‑on insight not readily available at general shops.
